A learning management system (LMS) often plays an essential part in supporting an organization’s talent management strategy. But how do you select and implement a learning management system that meets business and learner needs, doesn’t drain organizational resources, and achieves the strategic return you seek?
With an eye to sharing what you need to know, the panelists will cover both strategic and tactical considerations including:
•  Communicating effectively with stakeholders and avoiding pitfalls in the process
•  Gaining clarity on the desired user experience
•  Creating capacity for implementing, supporting, and growing the platform
•  Planning appropriately for marketing and revenue generation
•  Understanding the what, where, and how of data: what’s collected, where it lives, how it will be used

Josh Goldman, MA, CAE

Ohio Society of CPAs

Josh Goldman, CAE, is an association professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in maximizing the value associations provide to their markets.

In 2014, Josh joined the Ohio Society of CPAs, where he now serves as the vice president of learning by leading enterprise-wide strategy, direction, and execution of the association’s learning pillar delivered through numerous channels, programs, services, and partnerships. The association has gained national attention for its thought leadership & work to advance learning in the CPA profession.  Josh also leads the business development and consulting services for OSCPA’s Vested Learning program which offers talent management consulting services to the accounting profession.

Prior to joining OSCPA, Josh has held senior positions in local, state, regional, national, and international membership associations and nonprofits with oversight of portfolios including program development, membership, component relations, partner/business development, education, competency, credentialing, standards development, and global market entry.

He holds a B.S. in psychology from Indiana State University and an M.A. in college student personnel (higher education administration) from Bowling Green State University. He has authored book chapters on developing a profession’s body of knowledge and on enhancing individual professional development planning.
