AICPA Resources to Help Advance D&I in Your Workforce
The AICPA works to encourage and promote diversity & inclusion within the CPA profession and its workforce, as we believe a workplace that is reflective and inclusive of the global communities in which they serve are greatly positioned to innovatively solve the challenging and complex issues facing clients and the evolving public interest. During our time, we will provide an overview of the various resources we offer to our members to support the implementation of diversity and inclusion programs built to support your workplace, workforce, marketplace and supplier and community.

Speaker Bios
Crystal Cooke
Director – Diversity & Inclusion
Association of International Certified Professional Accountants
Crystal Cooke, Director – Diversity & Inclusion, joined the Association in February 2020 and oversees the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s member facing Diversity and Inclusion team who focuses their efforts on increasing representation of underrepresented populations (e.g. ethnic minorities, women, LGBTQ) in the accounting profession. She serves as one of the leads of the AICPA’s National Commission on Diversity & Inclusion, whose mission includes making diversity and inclusion a priority in the areas of recruitment, certification, and advancement of ethnic minorities. Her work requires collaboration with senior executives of partner organizations and accounting firms who also seek to increase diversity in their workforces. Prior to the Association, Crystal spent 12 years at the Center for Audit Quality where she managed Governing Board operations, financial reporting and budgeting processes, and talent, which included leading efforts around Diversity and Inclusion. She was also employed at KPMG LLP for 7 years as an auditor in their assurance practice in Washington D.C. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. She and her family reside in Bowie, MD. |

Shelly Frazier, Senior Manager – Diversity & Inclusion, leads the AICPA’s Women’s Initiatives and serves as the lead of the Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee, whose mission is to promote and support the success of women to advance the profession together. Prior to the Association, Shelly spent over 5 years in public accounting in the assurance services of two large firms in Washington, D.C. Shelly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Richmond. She and her family reside in Raleigh, NC. |
