Hungerford’s Managing Partner Tom Prince will share key lessons learned about change management and culture through managing four CPA firm mergers and acquisitions over the past 10 years and three separate legal entities under one brand: the CPA firm, the technology advisory firm, and the wealth management advisory firm.

Tom Prince, CPA, MBA
Managing Partner – Hungerford
Tom joined Hungerford in 1988 and became a Shareholder in 2001. Tom specializes in providing tax planning as well as strategic and operational planning services to businesses across manufacturing, distribution, and construction industries. During Tom’s tenure as Managing Shareholder, Hungerford has tripled in size. He has provided leadership through significant changes, navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to remote work, and maintaining essential aspects of the firm’s culture that make it unique while evolving through mergers and embracing change through growth. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Calvin College and an MBA from Grand Valley State University. Tom is active in AGN International and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Committed to his community, Tom volunteers with ICCF Community Homes, Grand Rapids Christian School Association, and Calvin Christian Reformed Church. Tom has retired from coaching his three daughters in soccer and softball and now enjoys spending time with them on the golf course. | ![]() |
