The session will provide the attendees with the general U.S. income tax rules as it pertains to non-resident individuals and foreign corporations. It will also provide the attendees with information regarding U.S. income tax structuring, U.S. tax planning, and U.S. income tax reporting.

Chris has over 20 years of experience in the legal, tax, and accounting aspects of complex domestic and international transactions. He has worked with individuals and companies in different industries such as retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, financial services, construction, and real estate.  

He has extensive experience in domestic and international tax compliance and consulting regarding inbound and outbound corporate taxation which includes advising and structuring domestic and international reorganizations, acquisitions and dispositions, advising multi-national clients on the repatriation of earnings, cross-border investment/financing, entity formation, and review of ASC 740 international tax provision calculations for financial statement presentation.  
Chris also advises clients with respect to Subpart F concerns, foreign tax credit planning, FATCA issues/reporting, OVDP matters and on pre-immigration planning.

Zvi Rafilovich, CPA, MST, CGMA

Zvi is a Partner in the International Tax practice where he advises small to large entities and high net worth individuals on various tax compliance issues including tax planning and minimization, federal/state/local tax filings, tax incentives and credits, pre-immigration tax planning, Estates/Gift and Fiduciary tax returns, nonresident tax compliance, FIRPTA issues, and US and States’ research and experimentation tax credit. 

Prior to that, Zvi managed large-scale R&E tax credit projects for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the US (IVAX now part of TEVA Pharmaceuticals) and was in charge of domestic and international tax compliance. Prior to his industry experience, Zvi worked in a large regional CPA firm in Florida. Zvi is a CPA (Florida,Georgia) and a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Zvi obtained his Master in Taxation from Florida International University’s Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Graduate School of Business. He is a former member of the Executive Committee and the former Treasurer of the Florida Israel Business Forum (FIBF); and a member of the Steering Committee for Broward County’s annual Joint Tax and Estate Planning Seminar.
