On 8th March, we connected over 100 AGN women professionals over two sessions to accommodate the time zones to mark International Women’s Day 2023.

With our members, we were able to celebrate this special day and support AGN’s commitment to embracing gender diversity in leadership teams to increase productivity and value in AGN firms.

Recently, Ashfords held the International Recruitment Seminar, teaching businesses how to coordinate importing talent from overseas in response to the growing labour shortage in Australia. International recruitment has become more popular since the shortage of workers in Australia began. Businesses are interested in increasing their team productivity, expanding their access to skilled talent and diversifying their teams; all benefits brought by hiring international workers.

The AGN global conference rolls into town, and with it, a rather special training programme for AGN members’ future partners – The Advanced Leadership & Practice Management Program – which has become known amongst those involved as ALPP.

Why are women professionals so poorly represented at senior levels within many firms across the sector? In 2021, the AGN Women of Impact (WOI) awards program sought to recognise the unique impact of women accountancy professionals and staff within our member firms. We focused on outstanding contributions and leadership, often delivered in very difficult circumstances during the pandemic. The process surfaced some amazing tales of excellence, professionalism and selflessness.
