In the U.S., October is recognized as Long-Term Care Planning and Financial Planning Month. These are great ‘excuses’ for AGN members to reach out to their clients and explore additional services that can be provided. AGN North America will use this month to give a post-busy season reboot to our educational content and member connections with the fall instances of Staff Training and the Fall Symposium. Forty-five years ago this month, four public accounting firms based in the U.S. decided to get together with the plan to form a collaboration and placed an ad in the September 1977 Journal of Accountancy seeking like-minded firms. This action was the first public announcement and beginning of “The Continental Association of CPA Firms” (CACPA) – the organization you now know as AGN.
