Nearing 400 delegates from across the globe gathered in Munich from 9–12 November for the AGN 2025 World Congress & EMEA Regional Meeting, in collaboration with the Nexia Global Conference.
The event provided a platform for AGN and Nexia members to collaborate, exchange insights, and explore how firms are evolving to meet the challenges of a fast-changing professional landscape.
“Our alliance is built on expanding global connections and shaping the future,” said Malcolm Ward, CEO of AGN International. “Munich captured that spirit perfectly.”
This year’s programme focused on transformation within the accounting and advisory sector — from raising capital and developing future leaders to adopting artificial intelligence and responding to global tax developments. Delegates took part in a series of keynote sessions, workshops, and interactive roundtables designed to share ideas and best practices across firms and regions.
Keynote speakers included Dimitris Dimitriadis, who explored emerging AI trends for accountants; Orell Mielke, who discussed the impact of AI on the human brain; and Johanna Krumin, who delivered an inspiring session titled Leadership Orchestra, highlighting lessons in collaboration and innovation from the world of music.
Breakout sessions examined critical themes such as funding models for growth, succession planning, brand strategy, and the evolving role of the trusted advisor in an AI-driven environment. Nexia-led sessions complemented the programme, covering digital transformation for tax and advisory, global mobility, and transfer pricing updates.
The event combined thought leadership with cultural and opportunities to connect. Delegates attended a festive Bavarian dinner at the Löwenbräukeller Beer Hall, featuring live music and traditional games, and a memorable closing evening at Motorworld Munich, where participants dined among classic and luxury cars — celebrating innovation, connection, and shared purpose.

“The energy in Munich was incredible — firms are truly exploring how to use technology, talent, and collaboration to drive growth. It was also a pleasure to share the culture and character of our city with so many international colleagues. Events like this highlight the strength of our community.”

The AGN & Nexia Expo, also hosted at Motorworld, encouraged members to engage in regional showcases, explore firm capabilities, and draw parallels between the accounting and motoring industries, where agility, technology, and sustainability drive continuous transformation.
Sponsored by Suralink, the event underscored AGN and Nexia’s shared commitment to supporting member firms as they adapt to changing client expectations, embrace new technologies, and strengthen international collaboration.
