Dallas, January 13-14, 2026 – AGN International, a global association of independent accounting and advisory firms, hosted its first-ever Firm Leader Roundtables in January. Leaders from across the United States united for a focused, two-day meeting centred on collaboration, insight-sharing, and the future of the accounting profession.
Held in Dallas, Texas, the event welcomed partners from 15 CPA firms representing markets from Boston to Los Angeles. Designed in direct response to member feedback, the roundtable format created space for firm leaders to step away from day-to-day demands and connect with peers on shared challenges and strategic priorities – Discover the AGN Member Value Agenda to learn more about these matters.
Firm Leader Roundtables Program
The program combined an immersive technology experience with facilitated peer discussions. Day one featured a hands-on artificial intelligence workshop led by Roman Kepczyk, CPA.CITP, CGMA, PAFM, Director of Firm Technology Strategy at Rightworks. Recognised as one of the profession’s leading technology strategists, Kepczyk delivered a practical foundation for understanding AI in accounting. In his presentation, he included real-world use cases, platforms firms should be evaluating, and key considerations related to governance and risk.
Day two focused on peer-led roundtable discussions covering Practice Management and Technology & Innovation. Participants exchanged perspectives on talent retention, leadership continuity, operational efficiency, and the accelerating pace of change affecting CPA firms. The small-group format encouraged open dialogue and practical problem-solving grounded in real firm experience.
The Value of Firm Leader Roundtables
AGN Global CEO Malcolm Ward attended the meeting and highlighted the value of the format and its member-driven origins.
“This program reflects exactly what our members value — inputs on key commercial issues from a leading industry expert, but in the context of an intentional and grounded peer group interaction,” said Ward. “The quality of collaboration over these two days moves beyond the theoretical keynote, and delivers practical valuable outcomes to our members.”
Jonathan Erickson, Founding Partner at Daniels Erickson P.C. in Texas, U.S., echoed this sentiment, noting the relevance and practicality of the discussions.
“The recent AGN Firm Leaders Roundtable offered a mix of expert insight and peer-driven discussions, which provided us with actionable ideas and concrete strategies to bring back to our firm. As a new member firm of AGN, it was an invaluable opportunity to learn from industry leaders, collaborate with peer firms facing similar challenges, and contribute to a community that is shaping the future of the profession. We are excited and energised to be a part of AGN!”
What This Means for AGN Members
The Firm Leader Roundtables mark an important step forward in AGN’s ongoing commitment to collaboration and innovation across its global membership. By expanding one of the most valued elements of AGN events — peer roundtables — the program delivered practical insights and renewed momentum as firm leaders navigate an increasingly complex and evolving profession.
Building on the success of this inaugural meeting, AGN will continue to develop programs that help firm leaders address today’s challenges while preparing for the opportunities ahead.
