On 29th April 2022, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRG) launched the public consultation process to draft the ‘first set’ of EU Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRD) draft was submitted before the deadline of 8th August 2022 and included the application for the future ESRS.

The Great Resignation – the ever-growing exodus of people who decided, since 2021, to quit their job. This has led to the current staff shortage, affecting the global economy across all industries.
It’s been a little over a year since Anthony Klotz, a psychologist and Professor of Business Administration at Texas A&M University, coined a phrase destined to become famous when he stated that “the great resignation is coming”. Worldwide data indicates that his prediction was correct.

Forty-five years ago this month, four public accounting firms based in the U.S. decided to get together with the plan to form a collaboration and placed an ad in the September 1977 Journal of Accountancy seeking like-minded firms. This action was the first public announcement and beginning of “The Continental Association of CPA Firms” (CACPA) – the organization you now know as AGN. The metaverse appears to hinge on integrating a range of existing technologies, such as virtual reality and blockchain. Still, it also requires the development of ‘web 3.0’ (web three-point-zero) – technology that could be five to 10 years away.
