Why are women professionals so poorly represented at senior levels across the sector – especially when we know gender diversity makes firms more productive?
In August 2022, we listened to our AGN 2022 Women of Impact panellists in a series of regional and global debates to shed some light on why many women drop out of the accounting profession before partnership.
How can we reverse the trend? What changes are necessary for more women to be promoted to senior practice positions?

On 8th March 2023, 100+ AGN women professionals connected to mark International Women’s Day 2023.
Over two sessions (to accommodate the time zones), AGN members united in a virtual event to help us embrace gender diversity in leadership teams to increase productivity and value in AGN firms.
Fifty members in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (AP) connected in the first session. Over 50 members in North America and Central & South America joined in the second.
In May 2021, AGN hosted the Women of Impact Awards at the Global-e-Connected 19-hour virtual event.
We asked members to nominate any exceptional female professional, partner, employee or associate who had shown commitment, energy, tenacity, professionalism and courage in the face of the pandemic.
