Special Edition AGN NextGen Program 2024: Road To Rome… via Nashville.
On 18th January, NextGenners worldwide connected for Road To Rome: Part 1. In an engaging 90-minute session, participants explored talent retention and recruitment strategies. A guest presenter provided valuable insights and breakout sessions allowed NextGen participants to hear innovative recruitment strategies deployed successfully by others, which motivate and engage their staff.
When the session concluded, participants were invited to submit their innovative ideas for attracting and retaining talent. A panel of judges reviewed all entries and we are thrilled to announce the winner!
Congratulations to Carolina Aguayo Vargas at KAM Auditores Consultores Ltda, in Chile, for winning the “special edition” spot prize trip to Nashville.
The winning idea for talent retention and recruitment…
Carolina’s idea for attracting and retaining top talent has been chosen for its simplicity, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. It is suitable for implementation across all AGN firms, regardless of size. Watch Carolina’s video for insight on “Getting Closer Together to Be Successful”.
What happens next?
Part two of the Road To Rome series starts on June 11th. Participants will be divided into small teams to complete two challenges. The winning team’s prize is an expense-paid trip to Rome to attend the 2024 Europe, Middle East & Africa Regional Meeting (EMEARM) from 3rd to 5th October.
How can AI & Automation help talent retention and recruitment?
Part two is themed, The Future Proof Accountancy Professional. The focus is on optimising the value of accountancy professionals’ roles for themselves and their firms where AI and automation might replace key tasks. Participants will be asked to propose the best deployment of professionals, targeted training and development programs, and ideas to enhance the ’employer brand’ for recruitment and retention.
What are the benefits of the Road to Rome program?
- Meet and collaborate with peers from across the world to explore the impact this might have on their roles and their firms’ strategies.
- Acquire new perspectives on the likely impact of technology on accountancy roles.
- Consider learning and development strategies for themselves and their firms in order to capitalise on these developments.
