Program Level: Basic Intermediate Advanced Update Overview
This session will examine the new developments and recently released standards in private enterprise and not-for-profit accounting and assurance standards.
On the accounting side, we will review the status of key accounting projects, including related party combinations, accounting for upfront non-refundable fees or payments and briefly discuss the recently issued standards such as AcG-20, Customer’s Accounting for Cloud Computing Arrangements.
We will also discuss the upcoming impacts of CAS 600 Group Audits, which will significantly impact group audits in 2024, as well as new exposure drafts on audit evidence (CAS 500) and going-concern (CAS 570).

- Gain an understanding of pending and recently released accounting (ASPE, ASPNO) and auditing standards
- Discuss the impact on group audits in December 2024 and later year-ends
