2025 SaLT Update 

During this webinar, Jordan Goodman and David Hughes will provide an update on recent developments in the
world of State and Local Tax with respect to state taxation of nonresidents. Topics will include the sale of
pass-through entity interests, the convenience of the employer rule, credits for tax paid, residency tests and more.

Learning Objectives

  1. The participant will understand how states tax sales by nonresidents of pass-through interests.
  2. The participant will be able to determine when a resident is eligible for a credit for tax paid to another state.
  3. The participant will comprehend the convenience of the employer rule and how states apply it.
  4. The participant will be able to identify factors that states use to determine residency.

David Hughes

David is a partner in KTS’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Group. He helps clients limit their state and local tax exposure through sensible planning and, when necessary, vigorous litigation strategies.
