New US Tax Law Changes Regarding Creditable Foreign Taxes And How They Can Impact Transactions Between US Companies and Their Related Parties in Some Central and South American Countries        

Recent modifications in US tax provisions will be explained, focusing on how they will impact subsidiaries in CSA. The effect in CSA and NA will be discussed.

  • Discuss the updated definition of income tax and tax in lieu of an income tax, including new requirements
  • Discuss the effect this new law has on extraterritorial taxes and withholding taxes on royalties and services imposed by countries with no US tax treaty
  • Provide options to mitigate the US foreign tax credit consequences of the new law
